FAQ
Frequent FSC code questions
What is a BMW FSC code?
An FSC code is a 20-digit activation code that BMW ties to a single vehicle identification number (VIN). It unlocks map data and individual software functions in the control unit. Without a valid FSC, an installed map stays inactive.
How much does a BMW FSC code cost?
Depending on the navigation generation: CHF 59–199 for maps, CHF 200 for Apple CarPlay activation. The code is tied to your VIN and valid for life. Prices are indicative — the binding price is confirmed before ordering.
How do I know which map I have?
The generation depends on the head unit, not the vehicle year. Open navigation, settings, version — the map name with the year appears there (e.g. "Premium 2024-1"). Or send us your VIN — we reply within minutes.
