Unlock video in motion

Enable video playback while driving — for front passengers and rear seats.

From the factory the head unit blocks video playback as soon as the car moves. We remove that lock in the control unit. To be clear: the driver must not watch video while driving — this unlock is intended for passengers and for when the car is stationary. Responsibility for use lies with the vehicle owner.

Common questions about this service

Is this legal?

The unlock itself is not prohibited. The driver must not watch video while the car is moving — the function is meant for passengers, rear screens and when parked. Responsibility lies with the vehicle owner.

Will it show up at the vehicle inspection?

A pure software unlock is normally neither detectable nor part of the inspection. It is different with extra screens in the field of view of the driver — that would be a structural change.

Does it apply to all video sources?

Yes, the lock works centrally in the head unit. Once removed it affects every source the unit can play.
