Modifications to exhaust after-treatment systems are not permitted on public roads. We only carry them out for motorsport vehicles or for export to countries without corresponding regulations. Diagnostics and cleaning are unaffected and fully permitted.
My particulate filter keeps clogging — what now?
Find the cause first. Usually it is short-trip driving, a failed differential pressure sensor or a leaking EGR valve. Once the cause is fixed the filter often works normally again.
Is cleaning worth it?
Often yes, and it is considerably cheaper than a new filter. Whether yours can still be saved is shown by the condition assessment.
