Worth doing before a used purchase or after a repair: we read whether a control unit belongs to the car, which software level it carries and whether it has been worked on before.
How it works
- Send the VIN and the map generation you want on WhatsApp
- We check that the generation matches your head unit
- You receive the code and the matching map file reference
- Copy via USB, enter the code in iDrive — we can guide you through it

FSC codes are part of the manufacturer's licensing system for map data and software functions. Codes not obtained through the manufacturer or an authorised partner can raise copyright and licensing questions — in Switzerland this concerns Art. 39a URG, in the EU Directive 2001/29/EC. Check the legal position in your country before ordering. We advise openly and decline jobs where the situation is unclear.
